• Civil Society - ethnic and religious tolerance, gender equity, volunteerism and community service, human rights, citizen responsibilities and  citizen activism in such areas as the environment.

• Ecological and environmental themes like water, endangered species, pollution.

• Globalization and its impact on societies.

• Language Learning - support for the teaching of English overseas and foreign languages in the US

• Teaching methodologies in area studies, geography, social studies,  history,   values, languages etc.
