YES -Youth Exchange and Study Program

Application and Selection Process

Students who fulfill the selection criteria and agree to the Parent Student Agreement and General Program Rules, can apply for the scholarship. Female students, students with physical disabilities, and students from non-elite and government schools who meet the criteria are strongly encouraged to apply.

The interested students are encouraged to apply through their schools first. The iEARN Office sends YES recruitment information packets to the iEARN partner schools and other interested schools. Students are first required to find out from their school administration if they have received the information.

Students who are eligible according to the criteria but their schools are not interested in participating in the YES program can apply independently. They can download the Preliminary Application  from the YES website or write to YES@iearnpk.org for an application. Independent applicants can  submit applications via courier or mail along with all the required documents. Please do not send any original documents or any additional documents other than the ones mentioned in the application form. We do not return any documents submitted.

The participating schools/organizations  must collect fully completed applications with all required documents from students and submit them to the iEARN office.

After the initial application evaluation, the short listed candidates will be invited to take up the SLEP Test (Secondary Level English Proficiency Test). SLEP test will be organized in some of the major cities of Pakistan. Keep checking the announcement section of the iEARN Pakistan website for updates and information for test dates.

Top scoring students in the SLEP test would be shortlisted and  interviewed by an "Interview Committee".

Students who qualify the interviews will be asked to complete and submit the full 24 page YES application along with the signed program agreement and passport. After a final review and evaluation of the applications, the students who are selected as YES finalists will be notified by a letter from the YES Program Director.

The students selected finally would be enrolled in a compulsory ‘Pre Departure Orientation’ program  during summer vacations prior to traveling to the USA..

Keep checking the announcement section for the  deadlines and important dates.

Students with physical disability, female students and students from the Government Schools are highly encouraged to apply.
