Howard Gardner's "Theory of Multiple Intelligences"
highlights the importance of the arts in teaching and learning. Gardner
maintains that it is critical to recognize that the arts build upon and
integrate other forms of intelligences . He supports that teaching the arts, as
well as using it to teach other
disciplines,
enables educators to reach many students who are not now succeeding in school
and to reach all students more deeply. The iEARN Creative Arts projects provide
a rich opportunity to educators to engage students in projects that enables them
to explore a wide range of artistic expressions. These projects not only helps
achieve the Art curriculum but also enrich other subject areas when integrated.
