Application Process for 2005-2006
Students which fulfill the selection criteria can apply for the scholarship. Female students and students from non-elite and government schools which fulfill the criteria are strongly encouraged to apply. Keep checking the announcement section for the deadlines and important dates. Also refer to the selection timeline for the full details.
Interested students are encouraged to apply through their schools. The iEARN-Pakistan Office sends YES recruitment information packets to the iEARN partner schools and other interested schools. Students are first required to find out from their school administration if they have received the information and apply through their schools.
Students which are eligible according to the criteria but their schools are not interested in participating in the program can apply independently. Download and complete the initial nomination form and submit in person or mail us. iEARN will issue them the full 24 page applications after initial scrutiny and verification.
The applications must be completed in full all 24 pages, with all required documents and can be submitted to the school offices. The schools will then send the applications with their recommendations to iEARN-Pakistan office.
After the initial application evaluation, only a selected number of short listed candidates will be invited to take up the SLEP Test (Secondary Level English Proficiency Test). SLEP test will be organized in Lahore, Karachi, Pindi, Peshawar and Northern Pakistan. Keep checking the announcement section for updates and information for test dates.
Top scoring students in the SLEP test would be short listed and interviewed by an "Interview Committee".
All students selected as YES finalists will be notified by a letter from the YES Program Director. All selections will be made strictly on merit.
