Cleaning up of Nawaz Sharif Park
On International Youth Service Day, SOS joined forces with the NGO Waste Busters to clean-up the Nawaz Sharif Colony a very underdeveloped area beside the SOS Village Lahore.

About 35 children from the SOS Youth Home and Village were joined by 12 youngsters from the Cardinal School, Gulberg Everyone received gloves, masks and garbage bags provided by Waste Busters.

starting the clean-up The SOS team "Tiger" was working in one of the most
dirtiest streets The project was also supported by some German and Austrian
foreigners Everyone filled up more than 5 bags. The response of the colony was
overwhelming. Many people felt ashamed that children and foreigners had to
clean up their garbage Many people from the colony helped and supported the
efforts of SOS and Waste Busters "It is a lesson for us" said one of the
spectators while watching the hard working children After three and a half
hours of cleaning in the hot sun, everyone felt happy about the results Clean
streets for a good and healthy environment! Next Friday on "Earth Day" we will
be back to continue our work...
