 Community Service Projects undertaken by various iEARN youth groups of Lahore to mark the Global Youth Service Day April 2005.


1. Set up a recycling system for  home and participated in the neighborhood curbside recycling pick up.
Organized a campaign in their neighborhood to reduce air or noise pollution.

2. Visited to Mother Theresa’s Home (orphanage and senior home): spending time with children, taking along useful gifts/ activity materials for them. Interviewing the elderly people who have either been abandoned by their families or have no close family members looking into their needs and extending help to them. Improving the environment at the school. Developing awareness among the fellow students to keep the environment clean and to contribute towards the upkeep of school equipment /materials/ display etc.

Restoration of Mochi Bagh Mochi Bagh (garden) is one of the gardens in walled city of Lahore suffering from human negative interventions. The school C.D.G.High School Mochi Gate is situated inside the bagh.

4. Proper Garbage Disposal System: Whereby students chalked out an area and were responsible for the garbage disposal system.

5. Children created “Food Bank” targeting the women and the children in prisons.
 

Cardinal School Lahore – Junior Campus - 17 students and 3 teachers.
Dates: 7 March – 12 April (Students will give their presentations on 16 as to of their result by 12th April but both the projects would continue at least till June).

6. Abroo School a school for adult people working as lower staff in different organizations and are illiterate:

a) The group s arranged a sports day for the people here  on as well as the stationery for their first Term.

b) Removed of Graffiti around the school area.

c) Restoration of a nearby park. 4) literacy drive for the custodian staff of the school.
 

Cardinal School Lahore - O Level campus - 30 students and 3 teachers.
Dates: 7 March – 12 April (however both the projects would continue at least till June.)

7. Helping out at a school for special children. The  activities here include: educating children, giving children moral support, collecting toys from friends and family for these children, managing a musical day for these children.
