The Global Youth Service Day signifies the ongoing value of service to others and the role of individuals working for the need of the local community with the power of human kindness and the willingness to reach out and help others. Emphasizing on the fact that we as youth can strive to make this world a better place.

Global Youth Service Day is celebrated worldwide every year on a designated weekend in April to celebrate recognize and mobilize the year round contribution that young people make to their communities and the world at large through voluntary activities.

iEARN Pakistan as a part of its BRIDGE program collaborated with Cardinal School Lahore for engaging students in community service projects to mark the Global Youth Service Day. Naila Khan from the Cardinal Public School  facilitated and coordinated the 6 weeks long project as  part of the iEARN's Youth Volunteering and Community Service Program . She worked with 200 youth from 9 schools of Lahore who designed and worked on 9 different community service projects from 1st March to 15th April 2005. The project outcomes were shared on the Global Youth Service Day Award Distribution at Defense Community Hall Lahore on 18th of April. iEARN-Pakistan presented shields to the participating schools and certificates to honor the participating youths.
