Most of these students felt the importance and developed a sense of responsibility towards these children and realized that these special children are also an importantpart of our society and should be treated with love and care. They deserve our attention and need our time. They enjoyed this activity thoroughly and felt no hitch or reservation  in interacting with the most feable and mentally and physically unfit personals.

"Community Service is one of the way to serve the mankind. So for this purpose I with the group of five students and Ms. Sarah who leads us, visited Dar-us-sukun,a centre for orphans and special children on Saturday i.e. 29th May,2004. We took balloons, candies and biscuits with us. We went to many rooms of the centre in which the special children and the orphans were there. We saw that the staff members and the nurses who work in the centre took very special care of the children and also worried for their feeding, giving medicines and ready to give them any kind of support when they want.We also gave candies, buntings and biscuits to many of the children. The children were very happy by looking all of us and some of them also wanted to share their names and their life with us. Then we left from there at 5 pm.I was very delighted and happy by spending time there. I also decided that i will do such type of community services in future also." - Andleeb Rizvi

"There we blew balloons and distributed these balloons to the special children. We gave candies only to grown up individuals because children were unable to eat these candies. We went to various rooms which were decorated beautifully with toys and colourful posters. In every room there was a maid to look after the in-mates.I was happy to see every room which was very neat and tidy. Then we met Miss Christney, one of the Sister and found her loving and caring lady. One thing I liked the most was that all the people including men, women and children were well- mannered and behaved very nicely and they were happy to see us.Outside the room, there was a varanda where children and women heard the songs and poems on tape-recorder .We talked to children and women and shook hands with them,we also asked their names. After spending three hours with them I really realized that these special people are vital part of our society and one should spend some time with them from one's heavy schedule because they need our love, affection and our little attention." - Sidrah Wasif

On Saturday 29th of May, a group oif 6 stuydents went to Speciqal Children's and Orphanage house "Darul Sakun". It was worth going there. It made us realize of the countless bounties and Allah and to be thankful to Him. It was my first experience to visit special children in the beginning I was
a bit uncomfortable but when a girl named "Amna" came to me and shook hands as if she had known me for a long time made me feel so special and beloved. When I gave her some candies and biscuits she was overjoyed and excited only
then I realize how complete and satisfy one feels when one makes some one happy. We talked to all children and played with them. Activities like these give hope and encouragement to special children and bring them sense of belonging
to the society and made us realize that they are also part of it.
We showed them love and respect and in return they showered us with their countless love which made us feel so special and unique. Really it was a remarkable experience!

"I had a chance to see and talk with those special people. We offered them candies and balloons to play with and they were very happy to see us there. I was grieved to see a child who was crying and continuously hitting her hands and legs on the wheel chair. It is very difficult to take care of these type of  people but the persons who are doing so are really doing a Great job which can`t be matched with other community services. I am thank full to GOD that he   has gifted me with all the senses and physical abilities and this was this was that immediate feeling which I felt when I first saw that people and then I thought that everyone along with me should feel the pain of these people and try to make them feel that they are also the part of society." - Sumana Bhojani

The girls tried their best to make the children there at ease and feel comfortable. They played with these kids and made them happy.

"I have visited many hospitals but this was the frist time in my life that i visited an institute of special children.I felt sorry for these children. They need our help and attention. At frist i hesitated to mix with them but when we gave them sweets and balloons, they became friendly with us. I was glad to see tem happy. Some children had just returned from their visit to the zoo. We discussed about their visit to the zoo. From 3:30 to 4:30pm enjoy music. Some of the children were able to understand us.They shook hands with us and when we gave them the sweets they thanked us. We took their photographs also.We tried to make them happy. When I returned I discussed my visit with my parents and siblings that at least once in a month we should visit these children and play with them.I liked a child Ifrah very much, she is very cute. I think she is normal and Ms.Sarah found out that her parents are even alive but have abondoned her.Ifrah likes bags.I flet very sorry for her because she is normal and such a cute kid and she is living with special children. From this visit I realized that there are people around us who need our attention and love and we should spent some time from our busy schedule with them.I would ask my school  principal also to arrange such visits so that the children are aware of the sufferings of people aao that in the coming time when they will become adults they will lend a helping hand to them.In the end i would like to say that we should do whatever we can within our means and also ask others to help them."- Fizza Iqbal

"At first when I went in I was unable to  accept the enviroment but as the time passed , we interacted with them they became quite friendly with us ,all of them were of different ages.We tried to make them happy in every possible way like by giving them candies and blowing balloons for them. All what I learnt from this activity is that the only way to thank God for making us normal and giving us all the senses is to spend time with those who are physically and  mentally disable the only thing they need is our attention .For them it's a privilege to spend time with normal people  .So the best way to thank God is to share our smiles with them." Sara Jaffery

"The visit to DARUL SUKOON was really awsome. It was really nice to be  with the people over there. we felt really nice when we saw smiles on there faces. I think it's great to make people happy specially those disabled people because those people do not get many chances to meet normal people. I think they were very happy and their happiness made me feel happy internally. I would like to go there again becuase i like to make people happy and I think it is really nice to make those people happy who are unpriviliged. Life is short and we should spread love in the world and make our short life useful."- Nida Kanwal
