Youth Volunteering and Community
Service Program
As part of the iEARN
Pakistan Youth Volunteering and Community Services Program,
iEARN-Pakistan organized a two days summer camp each in Karachi on 9th
May and Peshawar on 19th May 2005. The two summer camps were
participated by altogether 30 students and 3 teachers from 20 iEARN
schools. The workshop presented, topics related to Volunteerism and
Community Service. Students spend half the day in developing
actions plans for implementing service
learning projects. They developed 13 different short term service
learning activities to implement during the summer vacations.
Similar activities will also be arranged
during the summer vacations for iEARN Pakistan member schools so that their students can
also be part of this small initiative for the betterment of the society.
