Reason for selection:

We wanted to help poor and destitute children to comeback into the society from which they have been shunned away. We also wanted to help those women and children who have been abused in any form.

Resources:

Transport, Camera etc.

Possible activity dates:

No dates can be provided because whenever a case comes, the organization calls volunteers for assisting them. A meeting is held by organization to discuss the projects, their completion and the current situation (as appearing in newspapers) is sized up for possible action.

Organization:

Madadgar.

Venue:

At Madadgar office or at any other venue proposed by organization.

Participation time:

As mentioned above, whenever the need arises, the organization holds a meeting. There is no particular timeframe. Some activities can take 3 to 4 hours while other even more.

Needs of community:

The children are deprived of love and care by their parents and their near and dear ones, and have been subjected to severe stress and abuse. The women also have been subjected to abuse.

Existance of need:

The need exists because the parents are busy in their daily lives and neglect their children, due to which they look for other sources to find comfort with and end up getting physically abused.

Addressing these needs through services:

We can raise our voices for their concern. Other than that, one can sit and talk with those children and provide counselling to them.

Things needed to be known before service:

We need to know that these children and women have been under great social and mental pressure which has tormented them. One needs to use soft words with them and should not be abrupt in asking questions.

Things already known before service:

We already know that the children and women are depressed and must be cared after.
