Clothes Given to The Children Of SOS Village (Action Plan and Report)

ACTION PLAN:

Hi Everyone!

I am going to start a community work and here my “Action Plan” is:

Helping the poor and the needy is not just my desire but according to our religion we are bound to do it, as it is liked by Allah and the Holy Prophet (PBUH). In this way a true Islamic Community could be established in which the righteous would not be deprived of their rights and there will also be no other social evil.

I have chosen to do a project, in which I have started collecting clothes, from my neighborhood as well as my friends and will donate it to “The Children’s SOS Village,” where orphans are living, day and night, fighting with the cruel world, which is not giving them their rights. But thanks to God nowadays there are still people, who in their hearts, have a deep sense of feeling for these poor children and thus have build orphanages providing the orphans with all their love and whatever help they can do to keep them happy.

I have chosen this project because every year as we grow older, most of our clothes are left behind- some, which we have worn mostly, but some we even have not touched. These clothes, then, our mothers usually give them to the maids or others. So I thought that if I will collect these unused or left behind clothes and will donate them to the orphans, not only they will just get happy but indeed it will fulfill my duty and their need as well. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) has clearly said that “do not deprive the righteous of their right” and at certain occasions He (PBUH) also mentioned to help the orphans as much as one can.

I am looking forward to undertake this project as soon as possible. I have already collected a huge lot of clothes and am still willing to gather more. INSHALLAH you all will soon get my e-mail regarding the project’s end.

Waiting for your valuable suggestions!

High Regards,
Sundas Ishtiaq.

PROJECT REPORT:

Respected Ma’am Farah and all my friends,

I hereby inform you that I have completed my Clothes donation project. I went to the Children’s SOS Village today to give the children the clothes, which I had collected. I reached the office and met the main coordinator. She was very thankful. I asked her that if she could permit me to go and have a visit of the SOS School and the village where children lived.

First I went to the school. The Principal gave me a warm welcome and I asked if I could help the children. She agreed but said that it would be better of I just pay a visit to each and every class and will take pictures of them. As a result she showed me the classes where children were studying. I could see the desire to study in their eyes. All were disciplined and gave me the best respect. On asking the Principal, she told me that there were a total of 14 classes, including the pre-school ones like playgroup and nursery and told that the education was absolutely free. When I was about to leave, she asked me to sign on a register. That was really great and honoring

After that I went to visit the village. There were a total of 25 houses in which usually 10 students lived. Each house was taken care of sweet and humble ladies who are called Mothers. These ladies are indeed doing a lot to care for the orphans. I really praised them and while I visited a few houses. There I interviewed the children and discovered that everyone was living happily, some since two years and some since five years or more. It really was a heart desire for me but the most saddening of all was that on visiting one house, I met a young child who was 1˝ years old and was brought here when he was of 9 months. I really felt very sad but still I know it is Allah who is going to take care of these poor children.

This visit indeed made a place in my beautiful memory box. I have decided that from now onwards whenever I am free, I will go to the Village and will help the needy children.

Regards,
Sundas
