FINAL REPORT OF THE COMMUNITY SERVICE IN SCHOOL LIBRARY

PROJECT TITLE:
THE title of our project is TO WORK VOLUNTARLY IN OUR SCHOOL LIBRARY

SOCIAL ISSUE FOCUSED:
We focused to help our librarians in maintaining and arranging the renewed library of our school so that whenever students and teachers concern this source of knowledge they find RIGHT INFORMATION AT RIGHT TIME FROM FROM RIGHT PLACE

TARGET AREA / COMMUNITY:
Our target was to work voluntarly in our school library.Our school name is SULTAN MOHAMMED SHAH AGA KHAN SCHOOL KARIMBAD KARACHI PAKISTAN.Bascially our library is rebuilt and renewed so our librarians need some volunteers in arranging those ten thousand books when we come to know we volunteer ourselves for that this service of ours is going to help definitely to all the elementery , middle and high school studets of ours and teachers too as we were classifying , them we do double tacking, arrange books properly in shelves , give name tacks to shelves , make the folder of each subject in computer and record their information in particular folder and all other librarie's work.

WHAT I / WE DONE TO RESPOND TO THE SOCIAL ISSUE I/WE HAVE SELECTED . OUR PROJECT ACTION DETAILS

Well I am sharing my experience with you all and my project's details .I spend four hours daily from 8:30 early in the morning till 12:30 pm .Basically we were also pactrising what our librarians were teaching so not only we were learning but also benifiting school library .Firstly we help our librarians in classification of books , numbering them with respect to our school's particular book squence as soon as books were classify we do double tacking,and in the mean time we were also entering their names ,and thir references in the folders we made separately for the subjects in computer ,then we arrange them in proper shelves .what merely seem to be issuing books to all is not like that, as when we set on work and experience it
WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME / RESULT OF THE VOLUNTARY SERVICE
The outcome of the voluntary service is that by doing voluntary service in school library we not only help our librarianes in arranging and in data processing at the same time we learned and experienced a lot
WHAT WERE THE LEARNING EXPERINENCE FOR ME
I learned and experienced a lot . I got to know how the libraries are run successfully and how they works , how the book that is brought in library passes through various process and then comes first in shelves and then in hands of the seeker.
