ACTION PLAN:

Hi Everyone,

As is required, my next project’s “Action Plan” is as follows:

This community work which I am going to undertake is quite same as my previously mentioned project. This time I have decided to help the patients who are suffering from Burn Injuries. On reading the books regarding these injuries people get, I found out that they require plenty of juices to drink and loads of fruit to eat in order to cure their mishap. This is because juices and fruits provide them with adequate amount of iron and other vitamins.

As a result, I am going to collect donations in the form of money and my target is Rs.3000. After I have collected the so told amount of money, I am then going to buy fruits and juices, also other eatables like biscuits etc and is then going to give them to the Burn Ward of the Fauji Foundation Hospital (Rawalpindi).

I have chosen this project because usually the patients who have suffered burn-injuries are poor and do not have enough to pay for the curation of their problem as well as for the medicines and the suggested food required. So, I think that if I provide them with the proper food, I may help them in atleast relaxing the money required by them to spend on food. In this way, they will be able to concentrate by paying more on their surgery and the bill they have to pay for medicines.

So please wish me the best.
Eagerly waiting for your valuable suggestions.

Regards,

PROJECT REPORT:

Hello Ma’am Farah and everyone else!

I would like to inform you that I have completed my project in which I provided the patients of The Burn Ward with food. It all began on Friday (17th of June) that my father dropped me at the Burn Ward of Fauji Foundation Hospital. There I talked to the main Nurse and told her about my project. She at once agreed and thus as a result I worked for a whole day there helping the ward staff with numerous chores. I talked to the patients regarding their injuries as to how they got them, what was the exact reason behind it and how were they feeling then. I gave them the food baskets that I have decorated and I discovered a look of happiness on their faces.

Most of the patients were now almost well but one I remember had suffered 50% burn and was unconscious. The nurse told me that she was abnormal and this was the third time she had burnt herself. While skimming through the registers I noticed that most patients belonged to rural areas and almost 60% were injured due to hot water or oil.

I helped the nurses in giving the patients their doses of medicines and even helped one in jotting down the history of a newly admitted patient who had suffered 25% burn on her hands, arms and legs.

In the evening, when the day was over and it was time for me to go most of the patients shook hands with me and even prayed for my success. It made me very happy.

I sincerely hope to undertake these kinds of projects in future as well.

Regards,
Sundas.
