Report for the Neighborhood Beautification Project

this is Farheen Fatima from karachi-Pakistan. Here is my report for my project....

My project for community service activity was to plant flowers in the neighborhood. My activity focused two social issues that are beautification and pollution. My activity was planned to be done in the nearby buildings so that the people living there can enjoy the colors of flowers and the air can be prevented from pollution. On 19th of this month that is June 2005 I went to the nursery at Shah rah-e-Faisal and bought about ten plants of different flowers. Then on 20th of June I went to the first place that was a building in Parsi colony and started my job. The soil was enough hard so it took almost half an hour for every hole to be dug and while digging I got my hand hurt but that was Ok and the thing I experienced was that gardening isn’t easy job to do. I continued my job and then planted flower plants in the holes and then covered them with soil and watered them the whole planting took me 3 hours. Then I packed my things, which included shovel and the plants, and I came back home.

On the 22nd of June I went to the second building where I thought activity is needed and I started my work as it took on the first target here it took 2 hours because the space for plantation was small so I got free from my work earlier there I planted 3 plants and told watchman to water them every day and by this I ended my community service activity which I think went extremely fine.
